Karen is a lifelong reader and writer who is finally getting serious about publishing. An unapologetic Gen Xer, she spent a couple of decades job-hopping and obtaining master's degrees. She has worked as a reading teacher, a school counselor, and a mental health therapist. Her current day job is supporting school-based mental health staff at the local school district. She is also a new empty nester with two young adult offspring in college.
